On Canvas pages.
Off Canvas quizzes.

Canvas is where a lot of coursework lives, and also where a lot of graded quizzes live. Solvecoon is for the first and not the second. It has no Canvas integration: it reads the screen region you point at, and it is on you to point it at the right things.

How it works

1

Open the course material

A module page, a reading, a practice set, or an assignment you already got back.

2

Select or snap

Highlight text for the pill, or drag a box for equations and rendered images.

3

Close it before anything graded

Graded quizzes and proctored exams are out of bounds. That is our policy, not a suggestion.

What it handles

Readings and modules

Summarize a long module page into the points that matter.

Practice sets

Ungraded practice worked step by step so you can see the method.

Returned assignments

Understanding the questions you lost marks on is the highest-value use here.

Rubrics

What the rubric language is actually asking for, before you start writing.

Discussion prompts

Explaining the prompt, not writing your post.

Rendered equations

Math rendered as images in Canvas pages reads fine as a snapped region.

A real one, worked out

This is the shape of every answer: the result first, then the reasoning that got there.

Question

Explain this rubric line: Demonstrates critical engagement with at least two scholarly sources.

Answer

Quoting two sources is not enough. You have to argue with them, and they must be scholarly.

Steps

  1. 1At least two scholarly sources sets a floor and a type: peer-reviewed or academic, not a blog.
  2. 2Critical engagement means evaluating the source, not summarizing it.
  3. 3In practice that means agreeing, disagreeing, or qualifying, with a reason.
  4. 4So a paragraph that describes what a study found scores lower than one that questions its method.
  5. 5Two sources engaged critically beats six cited passively under this rubric line.

Rubric language is a specification. Reading it as one before you write is worth more than any editing pass afterwards.

Practice sets, yes. Graded quizzes, no. I am not subtle about this one.

What it will not do

  • It will not be used on Canvas quizzes that count toward a grade, or on proctored exams.
  • It will not integrate with Canvas, read your enrolments, or see your grades.
  • It will not submit or edit anything in Canvas.
  • It will not write your discussion post or your assignment.

Solvecoon is a study aid, not an answer machine. Exams, graded quizzes, and proctored tests are off limits — see the acceptable use policy.

Questions people ask

Does Solvecoon integrate with Canvas?
No. There is no LMS integration and no access to your Canvas account. It reads the screen region you select, nothing more.
Can I use it during a Canvas quiz?
No, if the quiz counts toward your grade or is proctored. That breaks our acceptable use policy and almost certainly your school's.
Will my institution detect it?
Proctoring software and lockdown browsers exist precisely to detect this, and we do not help you evade them. Do not use Solvecoon in an assessment.
What is it actually good for on Canvas?
Understanding a reading, working through ungraded practice, decoding a rubric, and going back through an assignment you already got marked.
