Works with

Course content, yes.
Tests, no.

Blackboard hosts both the reading you are meant to understand and the test you are meant to sit alone. Solvecoon is a tool for the first. It has no Blackboard integration and no access to your account, and using it on a graded test breaks our policy.

How it works

1

Open the content item

A course document, a lecture handout, a linked reading, or returned feedback.

2

Select or snap

Highlight for the toolbar, snap for scanned handouts and rendered equations.

3

Stop at the assessment

Graded tests and proctored assessments are out of scope, without exception.

What it handles

Course documents

Handouts and slide decks, explained or summarized where they are dense.

Scanned readings

Photocopied chapters uploaded as PDFs, read straight from the capture.

Feedback

Understanding an instructor comment you do not follow, before the next assignment.

Announcements

What a long announcement actually requires you to do, and by when.

Practice material

Ungraded self-tests worked with the steps shown.

No account access

It never signs in to Blackboard and never sees your grades.

A real one, worked out

This is the shape of every answer: the result first, then the reasoning that got there.

Question

Explain this feedback: Your argument is descriptive rather than analytical.

Answer

You explained what happened. The mark wanted you to explain why it mattered, and to whom.

Steps

  1. 1Descriptive writing reports events, sources, or steps in order.
  2. 2Analytical writing explains cause, significance, or relative weight.
  3. 3The test: could a well-informed reader disagree with your sentence? If not, it is description.
  4. 4Fix at the paragraph level, not the sentence level: each paragraph needs a claim, not a topic.
  5. 5Practical move: after each paragraph, add a sentence starting with This matters because.

This is the single most common piece of feedback in the humanities, and the fix is structural rather than stylistic.

Bring me the feedback you did not understand. That is where the next grade is.

What it will not do

  • It will not be used on Blackboard tests that count, or under a lockdown browser.
  • It will not integrate with Blackboard or access your account.
  • It will not submit anything on your behalf.
  • It will not write the assignment the feedback was about.

Solvecoon is a study aid, not an answer machine. Exams, graded quizzes, and proctored tests are off limits — see the acceptable use policy.

Questions people ask

Does it integrate with Blackboard?
No. It reads the region of the screen you point at, which is why it works the same on every LMS and needs no permission from any of them.
Can I use it during a Blackboard test?
No. Graded tests and anything proctored are excluded by our acceptable use policy.
What about lockdown browsers?
Extensions generally do not run in them, and we would not help you around that if they did.
What is the best use on Blackboard?
Making sense of dense course documents and of feedback you received, which is where most students actually lose ground.
