Chrome extension
A helper that lives
in your browser.
Tab-switching is the tax on every other homework tool: copy the question, find the tab, paste, wait, come back. An extension removes it. Solvecoon is in the page with your homework, one shortcut away, and it asks for a deliberately small set of permissions to be there.
Free to try — 5 solves every day. No credit card.

How it works
Install from the Chrome Web Store
One click, no account needed to try it. Pin the raccoon so the popup is one click away.
Use it where you work
The selection pill on highlighted text, the shortcut for everything else, the side panel for long answers.
Connect an account when you want history
Pairing the extension to an account syncs your solves to the website. It is optional and reversible.
What it handles
Selection toolbar
Highlight anything and get Solve, Explain, Summarize, and Translate right next to the words.
Snap shortcut
Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + S drags a box around anything the page can render.
Side panel
Long answers and follow-ups live in Chrome's side panel, so the page underneath stays put.
Small permission set
No access to all sites, your tabs, your cookies, or your browsing history. Ever, in a production build.
History on the web
Every solve is on your dashboard at solvecoon.com, searchable, for seven days free or forever on Pro.
Works beyond school
The same shortcut on an email, a lease, an error log, or an article you do not have time to read.
A real one, worked out
This is the shape of every answer: the result first, then the reasoning that got there.
Question
Balance the equation: __ Fe + __ O2 -> __ Fe2O3
Answer
4 Fe + 3 O2 -> 2 Fe2O3
Steps
- 1Start with the compound: put a 2 in front of Fe2O3 to make the oxygen count even.
- 2That gives 4 Fe and 6 O on the right.
- 3Balance iron: 4 Fe on the left.
- 4Balance oxygen: 6 O needs 3 O2 on the left.
- 5Final check: 4 Fe and 6 O on both sides.
Always balance the element that appears in the most compounds last. Oxygen and hydrogen usually go last.

What it will not do
- It will not request access to every site you visit.
- It will not read your tabs, cookies, or browsing history.
- It will not run on a page until you ask it to, by selecting text or pressing the shortcut.
- It will not be used during exams or proctored assessments.
Solvecoon is a study aid, not an answer machine. Exams, graded quizzes, and proctored tests are off limits — see the acceptable use policy.
Questions people ask
- Which browsers does it support?
- Chrome, and the Chromium browsers that install from the Chrome Web Store. It is a Manifest V3 extension.
- What permissions does it ask for?
- The minimum set needed to capture the visible tab when you press the shortcut and to show the side panel. Production builds do not request all-sites access, tabs, cookies, webRequest, or history.
- Do I need an account?
- Not to try it. Pairing the extension with an account gives you synced history, billing, and the ability to revoke a device from the website.
- Can I disconnect it later?
- Yes. Log out in the extension, or revoke every paired device from your account page on the website. Deleting your account removes the pairing too.
